Workshop on RF Heating Technology of Fusion Plasmas 2015

JA-EU-US RF Heating Technology Workshop: August 31 (Mon) -September 2(Wed), 2015

We are pleased to invite you to the JA-EU-US RF Heating Technology workshop which will be held at the KFC Hall, Ryogoku, Japan.

US-EU-JPN workshops on RF heating technology is well known as one of the good opportunity to share the new idea of RF heating technology for fusion plasma application and to discuss the possible collaboration on this subject among us. We would like to extend the invitation to members from the ITER Organization to participate and to give presentations.

The 2015 workshop will be organised by Plasma Research center of University of Tsukuba and JAEA.

Ryogoku is one of the traditional commertial towns called "Shitamachi"in Tokyo. It is located beside one of four large rivers in Tokyo, Sumida-river. Ryogoku is close to the center of Tokyo and famous for Sumo culture. The Sumo stadium (Ryogoku Kokugikan) is located next to the work shop venue and many Sumo stables are also situated in this town. You may have a chance to see Sumo wrestler during your attendance of the workshop.

Conference Fee

The conference fee will be JPY25,000(Tax included and only cash in JPY is acceptable at the registration desk). The fee for student is JPY16,000(Banquet fee for student is JPY8,000 and it is included in the conference fee).
Coffee break and Banquet (dinner cruise) fee are included. Additional banquet tickets for accompanying persons (JPY10,000/person) can be purchased.



We can provide an official invitation letter to those who need to obtain a visa.


Banquet(Dinner cruise at Tokyo Bay and Sumida river)

A banquet will be held on Sep 1 (Tue), on Yakatabune (Houseboat).



 It will be combined with Banquet(Dinner cruise at Tokyo Bay).
